What is IMMERSION?⠀ .⠀ Let’s start with the basics. We all want our life to matter, to mean something, to make a difference. Sometimes we have it all figured out (Go here! Do this! Change lives!) and other times we don’t (What now, God?).⠀ .⠀ IMMERSION speaks to both of these feelings about life. If you feel called to travel to new parts of the world and love people like Jesus (with your time, listening ear, and heart for justice), then IMMERSION is an incredible first step. If you have no idea what God is calling you to, but only know it’s something out of the ordinary, then IMMERSION will thrust you into places, situations, and relationships that force you to grow and clarify your life calling.⠀ .⠀ In short, we could all stand to step outside of normal life for 1, 3, 6, or 9 months and learn to love and serve others like Jesus a little better. We could all benefit from exposure to new cultures, food, and ways of being in the world.
